Seeking people with lived experience of serious or chronic medical conditions/diseases (or parents of children with these conditions) who can vividly recall the moment they received positive news from their doctor for a medical company. These stories will be turned into scripts read by professional actors - company only needs people to provide their lived experiences, they won't be needed to be on camera this time.

Company states: "These don’t need to be stories about a 'cure' but rather meaningful moments of hope or relief (including but by no means limited to):

Being told your cancer is in remission

Learning that you or your child’s scan showed no new complications

Getting a diagnosis that will open treatment options

Hearing that a treatment is finally working

Finding out you’ve been accepted into a promising clinical trial

Learning that symptoms are improving with new medication or therapy

Being cleared to return to normal activities or work after illness

Receiving positive feedback after surgery or a medical procedure

Learning that pain or symptoms can be managed better than expected, etc.

Learning that change will be at a different rate

If you’ve had a moment (or moments) of unexpected joy or hope in your health journey - and you’re open to sharing what that moment meant - we’d love to hear from you. Your story will be treated with care and respect. We will not use your full name (just first name), voice, medical records, or any identifying details in the final film. Instead, your story will be reimagined and told by an a professional voice actors. If selected, you may be invited to speak with our creative team in a short Zoom call so we can better understand and capture the essence of your experience. This call may be recorded for internal reference only.

This project is grounded in real stories, told through real emotions. We want to hear what it felt like in that exact moment. Did you cry? Laugh? Go completely still? Did you call someone right away or sit in silence to let it sink in? We’re looking for people who can articulate what the experience meant - what was said, how you reacted, and how the moment lives in your memory. The focus is on the raw emotion and human experience, not medical detail."

Rate: £500 flat rate

Total Pay: £500 (est. 2 hours of work)

Additional: If your story is selected for the campaign, you will receive £500 for your contribution (the film will be shown on the company's internal networks with their staff). If it is later decided to share the film on the company’s website or social media channels, you will receive an additional £1,000.
